So yeah… the response to the last post was amazing. And it had an overwhelmingly positive response from the female gender, which I found to be quite interesting, as they typically do not like to admit that things such as Halo are so great.
Anyway, for those of you who do not know, I am presently trying to convince myself that I do not like girls… at all. As part of this attempt, I am going to come up with 1,000 reasons why I should hate girls. I figure if I have 1,000 reasons why I should hate them, then I have to at LEAST be able to convince myself that I don’t like them 😉

Well… tonight there was a Halo tournament here on campus. In theory, this should have been good fun and I should have been able to do some serious killing. However, as we all know, things do not always work out as they do in theory.
Unfortunately, the rules stated we were to play without radar. As I do not normally do this, that made it much more difficult for me. Anyway, first game was teams of 3…. Jason Brown, Zack, and I…. We lost in the first round, but I will have you know I did my part… it was they who were slacking 😉 I had 16 kills (which was the average of what the people on the other team had)… zack had 3… and Jason Brown? a whopping 2 😉 That’s ok though. The other team was in fact quite good. Anyway, next game was teams of 2. Zack and I. We just plain got the crap kicked out of us. I don’t even know how many kills we got. Not enough to mention ;). So it was a shameful night…. we walked away depressed… and $2 poorer then when we came.
But when I got back here I hooked up to the network and took on 2 people vs. one of me…. and I defeated them. So I felt much better… even though one of them sucked horribly and the other wasn’t all that great. It still made me feel better about myself. And then we played a few more games on the network…. it was fun times. Except for the tournament. That sucked.
And now I will go to sleep. I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend….

Also, earlier today I downloaded mp3s of a demo cd recorded by David Bazan (of Pedro the Lion fame) in 1994. And I have to tell you… this is really awesome stuff. But it’s almost impossible to believe it was written by the same guy that wrote Control 🙂 They are vastly different. Anyway, it’s all just acoustic guitar and him singing. It’s really simple and I think that’s why I like it so much.

I used multiple nicknames on it… ummm.. probably my longest running one was creation, which was sometimes shortened to just Crea. I don’t remember why I used that one, but it is of no relation to the Creation festival, as was sometimes thought. Anyway, Reese came about because one day I decided it would be fun to see if I could convince people on IRC that I was Reese Roper, of Five Iron Frenzy. Anyway, another friend of mine impersonated some other member of Five Iron… I don’t remember who he was impersonating… but anyway, we had a lot of people actually believing us… but don’t worry, we told them later that we weren’t really. Anyway, my friend went back to his old nick, but I just sort of kept mine. and ummm… never got around to changing it. The 268 just comes from the fact that Reese was taken, and for some reason I have a strange fascination with the number 268. So there you have it.
