I have been perpetually tired the last… 5 days or so.

I am still tired.

Only sleeping 5 hours last night probably didn’t help.

What are you gonna do?

ok, so I have to use dial-up in order to connect to AIM. There is, however, a problem with this… Netzero only gives 10 free hours a month. That is not very much. So I was trying to find an open port on our network, on which every fricking normally used port in existance, with the exception of 80, which AIM won’t run on, is closed. 1025 worked briefly, but shortly thereafter, I lost my connection and couldn’t reconnect. This is greatly annoying. There is no reason for AIM to be blocked from working. If this is not a temporary side effect of something they are trying to fix, I am going to be extremely irate.

*kills time while the port scanner scans*….

[Edit: Wow… I should have checked that first, I guess. Despite how unlikely it seemed, I decided to check the Erols website to see if they happened to offer a phone number in the Lakeland area… seeing as they are a regional ISP, it seemed they almost certainly would not… however, I did indeed find one….. how convenient… ;)]

[Edit 2: The port scanner just finished. Just to give you an idea of how crazily rediculous the blocked ports thing is…. out of 65,536 ports…. 6 are open ;).]

AIM isn’t working again.

That really annoys me.

I would complain more, but I am going to go to sleep and then actually go to church tomorrow. I wouldn’t want anyone complaining at me for not going again 😉 (hey, it’s only been 2 weeks!)

All right.. later 🙂

Lets see… the FIF concert…

It was pretty fun.

First of all, there were like a million people there, so, since I didn’t want to be there forever after the concert, I didn’t attempt to talk to Reese to find out about the thing…. sorry 😉

Was a pretty good show, though I would have enjoyed it more if I knew Holland and Bleach’s stuff. Actually, it was a really good show, except it was way too crowded. I had to leave up front like half way through five iron’s set cuz i couldn’t breathe… haha. I don’t want to ruin the set stuff for anyone, because it was really cool… so yeah, just know that it’s an awesome set 🙂 Some stupid kid crowdsurfed in between when Bleach was playing and Five Iron was playing, and Five Iron was trying to show their video for the thing they’re trying to build…. anyway, Andy is my hero 😉 said something to the effect of “guys… could you please be quiet and… not crowdsurf and watch this video… it’s really important and… uhh… there’s really no reason you should be crowdsurfing right now anyway”… ahh… good ‘ol stupid crowdsurfers 😉

Haha… at some point in the night Reese said “I don’t think we’ve quite achieved puberty tonight”… in response to the large amounts of like… middle schoolers and such in the crowd… which i found to be pretty funny.

Anyway, they have this great “Game Over” t-shirt that you should buy. Bring $15 with you to get it 😉

And uhhh…. the Guerilla Rodeo cd hasn’t been pressed yet apparently, so… don’t expect them to have it.

And… I can’t wait until Denver! That is all.

Nobody commented today?

That’s not very “nice”.

I “think” maybe i will “have” to be “upset”.

“Mitch” Hedberg “is” a “funny” “guy”.

“check” this “out”:

“i had a special for comedy central and i had to take a physical, a verbal physical. a bunch of yes or no questions but they were strangely worded… like: “have you ever tried sugar?… or PCP?””

That is all.

be sure to read the next post down, cuz you might be interested in it… i don’t know.

anyway, I was just looking through Andrew Schwab’s poetry book, “We Caught You Plotting Murder,” and one of the things in it caught my attention that hasn’t before, and I dunno why. But anyway, I think it’s really cool, so I thought I’d post it here. Anyway, if you like it, I think the book is like $8 now, which is less then what it was when I bought it… it’s worth it. Anyway, you can get it at www.sundaymassconsumption.com

So here it is:

“Rush Hour Remedy,” by Andrew Schwab

“When the subject of murder comes up I always consider it a little pointless. Consider Joe: He owns his own fate, doesn’t he? I mean, he financed a new life to erase the memory of his old one. He bought a new status , with a new car, and a new mate, with a new child. He purchased a new outfit to wear, in fact an entirely new outfit to remind him that he is not what he used to be. And day by day he takes his new pills, with his new diet, to find a new life that he just can’t seem to get his hands on. Work through the week to buy the weekend, to buy a drink, to buy a new vacation, to buy some new escape that only lasts until Monday. Joe will look back on all of this some day. He will look back when he is so tired of running, when he realizes he didn’t have enough speed to pull away for good. He will look back when he realizes he didn’t drink enough to make himself disappear. When the sweet medicine wears off his brain he will awake. Shall we leave Joe to collect himself when he comes to? Is there any need to take his life from him? I think not. He’s killing himself anyway.”

[edit: totally unrelated to the above… how come Nintendo is doing really awesome stuff with the Game Boy Advance, but their console system sucks beyond all things that suck? Check this out.

So I heard something today that so far is a rumor as far as I am concerned, but I will certainly ask Reese about it at the concert tomorrow night….

Apparently Mark Solomon (of Stavesacre for those who don’t know), Reese Roper, and Leanor Ortega (both of FIF) will possibly be going on a poetry/spoken word tour in early 2004. Sounds pretty cool to me, so I wanted to pass along the word…. I will let you know when I find out the validity of it.

I ate chinese last night… so… I got a fortune cookie…

check it out:

“God looks after you especially.”

So I have taken this to mean that God loves me more then anyone else.

haha… Mitch Hedberg is hilarious…

“Last week I helped a friend stay put. It’s a lot easier then helping someone move…. I just went over to his house and made sure that he did not start to load stuff* into a truck.”

Hunger and Thirst was last night in the chapel… it was pretty cool. I liked it.

Ummm… that’s it. For now.
