Six Flags

So the other day I went to
Six Flags.  Six Flags America.  It was free, due to being IBM’s company
picnic thing…  but….  it was generally a disappointing day.  Got
there probably around 11, started out with the swing ride.  It was ok,
good as swing rides go.  Then we proceeded to the kiddie rides.  I
should clarify who “we” is in this instance.  “We” were Tiffany, Eric,
Ariana, Devin, Liam, and myself.  So Ariana and Devin wanted to get on
some of these rides.  Liam, on the other hand, wanted to do nothing but
go to the waterpark, which was impossible, because the waterpark there
is no longer open this season.  So he refused to get on ANYTHING.

After letting the kids play for awhile, we decided to eat lunch mainly
because Liam was complaining about being hungry.  Now, as this was an
IBM picnic thing, there was free lunch available for us at these
pavilion’s there, which the only way to get to is to use this train thing….  Now, Liam apparently believed that this was a ride despite us telling him multiple times that it was just a train to get to lunch….  so he was screaming and crying before we got on and while we were on and kind of calmed down a little while after it started moving.

We had lunch, which was ok, about what I expected… just burgers and hot dogs and chicken… picnic-like food.  The kids played some games that they had set up there and won a basketball and some footballs.  Then we decided to head back to the actual park so we could get on some real rides.

So on the train ride we started looking at coasters and such wondering what we should get on first.  Then we couldn’t help but notice that EVERYTHING we saw was no longer running.  After getting off the train we began to walk around to see if anything was open…. it all looked closed.  So we asked someone.  Apparently there was a powersurge of some kind which resulted in all but like 3 rides being incapable of operating.  So we waited around awhile for them to come back online, but they didn’t seem to be making any progress.  So we decided to try and get new tickets for a different day and just leave… We found quite a long line outside of guest relations and after standing there awhile someone from the park came up to us and gave us tickets.

So anyway, long story short, I got to ride a grand total of 2 rides, neither of which was particularly amazing.  But I get to go back, this time with Holly, in a week or 2.  It will be fun.

Oh yeah, and I heard something about Tom Cruise renting out the park that night?  I think maybe it was his fault.  And that’s weird.

I have a job interview tomorrow.  Really hoping it goes well…. seems like a pretty great job.

The end.

  1. To make a long story SHORT? You lost priviledge of THAT sentence on your fourth paragraph! LOL, I’m kidding you, man! I think you will have more fun with Polly Wolly Doodle (Holly) anyway 😉

Did Tom Cruise REALLY rent out the park? That’s NUTS!
