The Matrix challenge:
Elliot (zeronitro for those who don’t know) wrote a pretty good post on this topic. you should go read it.
On to the challenge.
I have heard MANY people comment on how they didn’t like Reloaded and/or Revolutions. For the sake of shortness and simplicity though, we will concentrate soley on Revolutions. Now, as I said, LOTS of people i have heard say they don’t like it, or that it is “ok”. what i haven’t heard, are speciffic reasons as to why. People say things like… “there was too much talking” or, it was too slow.. however… i want speciffic examples here. what did you feel was too slow? where was there too much talking? and remember with me, if you will, that the original movie had a good bit of talking, and it’s share of slower parts, but you like it. So for these arguments to be valid, you have to demonstrate that it suffers from these flaws to a greater extent then the original. I simply desire to understand how someone can see the same movie i did and NOT think that it was great.
On another note…
[EDIT: oh yeah, also, I will point out reasons why I thought it was good later.]
The Final Fantasy 11 challenge:
Can I not play it with almost all my free time tomorrow? hmmm… (but hey, I’m a level 14 red mage…. that counts for something important in life… right?… no?… ah… crap.)
I do think it’s funny that the welcome message to the game says that they have no desire to you your real life suffer from you playing… and to not forget about your work, family and friends 😉
It’s a fun game.. but.. don’t get addicted to Final Fantasy 11, kids. just remember that getting that one last level isn’t really as important as you might think it is. 😉
“I’m just a stranger here, despite your everything
I’m not attached to your world of disease
Like father always said and I can only agree
Son they will hate you because they always hated me
and even though I feel alone
I know that I could never be.
Nobody knows.
Nobody cares.
Nobody sees outside our safe haven.
If it’s a choice between this veil of ecstasy
And all the lonely suffering of seeing this so clearly
If I’ve said it once I will say it for all eternity
I’ll find all the comfort that I need inside this bleeding
And even though I feel alone
You know that I could never be.
Together we are so, so ugly with rejection
But to our, our eyes we, we’re the ones shimmering
I’ve unpluegged the wires from your spine
At first you’ll be afraid
But we’ll be alone and so content
And we
will live…
again
Alone and so content
And we will live again
Just crawl across the desert heat
And become tragic with me
And now that we are not alone
You know that we could never be
Alone and so content
And we will live again.”
