In reading a message board tonight, I came across a post which suggested that America is now in a state that is too far gone for redemption. That it has become a modern day empire, and it is at a point where it is only a matter of time until it falls.
So I wonder, what if they are right? What would life be like in a world Post-America?

yikes! that thought is totally hurting my brain right now… not because i cant comprehend it, but rather because my brain is in dire need of rest from thinking about such things before it implodes
that is something i have actually thought about before. (surprise, surprise.
) what made me think about it was hearing someone casually compare america today to the roman empire. that got my brain to thinking about similarities such as the universal language, the dominating currency, the government system, etc, etc. well, then that got me to thinking how all that was used by God to bring Jesus into the world. i can’t help but wonder if america has played a major role in ushering in ‘end times’ kind of stuff…and Jesus’ return. that there may really not be too much longer left. there is also the whole issue of america not being found in the book of Revelation. (allegorical, i think is the term) so what is to happen to america?
i personally don’t believe america is “too far gone”. Jonah was sent to Ninevah to say God was going to destroy it. they repented and God lifted His hand of judgement. i believe God would do the same thing for us, if we were to repent and turn back to Him. otherwise, we very well could see the judgement of Sodom & Gomorrah fall upon us.
