I forgot how good butterfingers are. I far too often neglect them.
That is completely unrelated to the rest of this post.
I made an announcement last night that, up until a few minutes ago, I
fully intended to fulfill. However, a few moments ago I received
an e-mail regarding the scripts from Kris (prof). Anyway, I found
a small piece of info which I found to be encouraging, and made me feel
bad for not finishing the script. And so tonight becomes:
Operation Drink RockStar And Write Screenplay All Night On Caffeine
High…. or…. Operation DRAWSANOCH for short.
Now, I have thought it over, and since I promised a shaved head, I
thought maybe we could come to a compromise. Now, I leave this
entirely in the hands of you people…. my FRIENDS, I remind you….
keep that in mind ;).
Here are the 2 options:
1. I shave my head just as I was going to if I failed.
2. I cut my hair to be really, truly, quite short, but certainly not shaved bald 😉
Vote away. 1 or 2 will suffice. You only get one vote, so you know… make it count.
And this assumes that I succeed in Operation DRAWSANOCH. If I fail, then I have to shave it bald, regardless of your vote.
Operation DRAWSANOCH Log:
10:30 PM – writing has commenced, I am at page 71, I was not actually
at 70 when I started… more like 67. Stuff is coming out ok,
it’s a slow process, but if I keep up the pace I should be able to do
this. Especially now that the distractions of other people are
gone. The log will be updated in maybe an hour or so….
Not that anyone will read this until tomorrow anyway 😉
11:38 PM – Writing has been going pretty well, I am just about to reach
page 78. Keep in mind that that my end result is probably
going to be around 110 pages. But you know, the shorter I can
make it and end the story… the better 😉
12:26 AM – Things aren’t looking good for Phoenix Blair. But
they’re looking better for my hair. I am on page 81, and I am
about to reach the end of act 2, in which Phoenix gives himself over to
Shay. Will Phoenix realize the error of his ways before it’s too
late? Who knows.
1:46 AM – I seem to be slowing down. 85. Almost to
86. I fear the ending will be somewhat anti-climatic. That
can be fixed in a rewrite. Stay focused to the task at hand…
finishing the first draft. finish… finish… finish….
all right, i’m going to get back to writing.
2:30 AM – I am at the very bottom of 89. Someone is dead, 2
others are rather incapacitated. the phoenix is about to be
reborn. It seems like only one person could save him now… but I
know that that is not what is going to happen. It’s time to find
out exactly what will happen instead.
3:40 AM – I am finished. I have not proofread anything, but I
made it to the end, and while I am sure the ending is not as good as it
can one day be, it is at least done. So vote away, what becomes
of my hair is now in your hands. Personally, I am going to sleep.

#3. Grow it out longer
You didn’t promise….You said you would do something, but due to circumstances you had to change your mind.
If you are intent on shaving your head or cutting it, wait until graduation. Anyone still in college deserves to have their hair as long as they want.
Also, remember you are coming home to a very cold Maryland so if you have no hair you’ll freeze.

2….. I guess… although it woudl be funny to see you with a shaved head- decisions decisions…. I can’t pick. I guess two- just because thats the popular vote…. I’ve conformed.
you will most likely only cut your hair that short once in your lifetime. i say you might as well do it all the way. Go bald. You may never get the chance again. Regardless of how funny you may look, I vote #1. You can always wear hats.
