Man… I wish someone could knock me unconcious right now….. my head and throat hurt horribly.  I can’t take advil for another hour…. so i have at least that much pain left….  i almost wish i was at work so i could at least be getting paid while i was in pain, but, i needed to figure out a doctor situation cuz of the whole lack of insurance thing.  So it turns out I will just be going to my regular doctor and they will adjust my bill some due to my not having insurance, and just they will need to be paid in full today….  it’s going to be something like $100…. which sucks.  But I am pretty convinced it’s strep, and it hurts real bad… so.. yeah.

Anyway, I am gonna go lay down or something now….  maybe that will help a little until i can take some advil.

zzzzzzzzzzz……

So Fed-Ex sucks and didn’t deliver my X-Box 360 today, despite the fact that the person I talked to on the phone earlier told me that it WOULD be here today since it was on the truck.  I am severely pissed at them, and will most definately avoid using them in the future whenever possible.

Anyway… Holly is sick, which sucks since it’s Christmas Eve…. and she is going to be sleeping while we open up presents and such…..  which makes me sad… I really wanted her to be there… but…. we just exchanged our gifts….  which was cool.  And I got her into a good mood at least… she was laughing and such….

Anyway, I got her a necklace which she pretty much actually picked out herself.  It is a very cool necklace with a dragonfly on the end of it, which I learned (before we got to that particular store) that she likes very much, and apparently they are somewhat hard to find.  Anyway, it was the only one the store had, so, I went ahead and bought it with her there, because, as I said, it is very cool, and she seemed to like it a lot.  Also, I bought her some perfume that about 2 weeks ago we both smelled and liked on another day when I had taken her out for her to help me figure out what to buy her 😉  She seemed to be surprised by that one, so, that is good. We had looked at all kinds of things when we went out… so I think that helped.

As to what she got me….  a gameboy micro, which i mentioned to her a few times that I would really like having.  And she got me a cool game for it, Final Fantasy 1+2 (they are on the same cartridge).   Haha… that was the one game that she saw me pick up and look at and say I would like to play one of the couple of times I stopped in a store and looked at game boy games….  so had I known she was getting me a micro, I might have guessed… but I did not… so.. I was pleasantly surprised to recieve the gift…  and playing it will help me not care so much about the X-Box 360 fiasco.  Oh yeah, they aren’t going to deliver it until Wednesday now.  Maybe.  If they get around to it.  Jerks.

oh yeah.. ummm.. I’m not supposed to be mad about that anymore.

So I discovered an easier way of getting an X-Box 360 then standing in line all night…..  I just ordered it online from Circuit City during the less than an hour they had it on sale there before it sold out.  And then they shipped it to me quite speedily, as it should be here tomorrow by the time I get home from work.  I am pretty excited about it.

Actually, now, by the time you read this, it will be here TODAY when I get home from work.  Apparently I forgot to hit submit last night 😉

So last night I was planning to wait in line to get an x-box 360… but…. due to the Christmas party I could not get over there until about midnight……  and there was already 40+ people ahead of us….  so…. we decided to try another Best Buy near Jon’s… but…  we think there were even more people there.  So….  I only stood outside for at most 30 minutes….. and….  of course there is no 360.  It is sad.

Just saw King Kong.  It was long, but I must say that I never really got bored with it, so I guess the longness was ok, except that it is now real late and I have work tomorrow.  Speaking of which, why am I posting this since that is the case?  Oh yeah, cuz I haven’t posted in forever and feel kind of obligated to.  Well, go see King Kong if you get the chance, it’s a pretty good movie.  You won’t be disappointed.  Unless you have really high expectations.  Don’t ever expect anything and you’ll never be disappointed.  Somebody said that once.  Or something like it.  I don’t remember who.  But I said it just now… so… at least I said it, even if I’m wrong.

ah, friday.  here we are again.  today will be a long day at work, but upon its completion, it will be well worth it.  So yesterday Elliot and I went to Best Buy, to obtain some dvds for $8 a piece.  Among those dvds were the Harry Potter movies.  The interesting part was, when we looked around, we couldn’t find the Harry Potter movies anywhere…. all we could find was a price tag on the dvd stand for the first Harry Potter movie, saying it was $8.  This might lead one to believe it had sold out, except that there was no empty space where the movie had been.  It was all packed tightly with other movies.  So, after searching the whole store for some random stand where they might have put the movies, we asked someone, who informed us that they had all the Harry Potter movies “on hold” in the back.  We never really figured out why that was the case, but she went back and got them for us so we could purchase them.  Apparently you have to really really want to get the Harry Potter movies in order to get them for $8.

So I am better now, if you don’t know.  I’ve been more or less better since Thursday, when I returned to work… but, every day has been progressively better then the last ;).  I am pretty much completely there now though.

So today I bought a cd and some movies that I have kind of wanted for awhile….  the movies were all $10 a piece at Best Buy, except for The Shining, which was $15.  The other movies were…… Black Sheep, Terminator (i realized i was lacking the first one), 28 Days Later, Edward Scissorhands….. I think that’s it.

Also we went to see The Weather Man in the theater.  It’s pretty good.  I enjoyed it.

Anyway, I am going to go to church tomorrow, so I should go to sleep now.

well, life does get more and more fun.

so i went to the doctor today…  whilst there, she confirmed that i have a virus of some kind, possibly the flu, and prescribed me some medicine to help with sinus drainage and whatnot, as well as telling me some over the counter medicines to use.  so, naturally, i assumed, all right, medicine…. since i’ve been starting to feel better anyway, and now with this, i should be all good soon….

well, i was very, very wrong.

while i have less stomach pain, i have about a billion times more itching.  Yes, nice big splotches of itchiness all over my arms, and, for some reason, only on my left foot.  Yes, apparently I am allergic to one of the medications given me, and my body decided to thank me for trying to make it better by breaking out in nasty itchy hives.

so now i await my mom’s return with bendryl so that i can hopefully get better through it and not have to go to the hospital, which, honestly, would just be a most amazing finale to this whole sickness fiasco……

Edit:

All right… no trip to the hospital for me.  My mom provided me with benadryl which was promptly taken, and now my arms are hive free…. though my left foot still chooses to be swollen and itchy… my arms are what were bugging me the worst.
