Well, tomorrow I go back to Florida….  I am both happy and sad.  Sad only because it means I will have to go to class again… haha.

Last night was Lisa’s party… it was pretty fun.  We went out to eat, then went back to her house and there was a bonfire and everything.  So we sat around the fire and talked and stuff.

Anyway, I come home last night to find blasphemy against Willy Wonka on Aubrey’s site!  I was quite shocked.  The man is brilliant.  He gets all these arrogant stuck up annoying people together, and teaches them all a lesson 😉  Sure, he may be a bit harsh at times… but it’s pretty funny.  And the oompa loompas are just there to make everyone happy… because who isn’t made happy when they see midgets dancing and singing?  I mean really.  That is the gift that midgets have in exchange for being short.  The ability to make everyone happy.  Anyway, she lso quoted someone as mentioning the rumors of Mariyln Manson or Michael Jackson appearing as Willy Wonka in an upcoming sequel/remake. This is not true.  Apparently Manson said something about being cast as Willy Wonka (although it appears he was misquoted?) and some press took it and ran with it without checking up on it….  Warner Brothers has since said that such rumors are 100% untrue.  (check out this website, where I got my info: http://www.upcomingmovies.com/charlieandthechocolatefactory.html )  But I mean really, did you need them to tell you that?  You know how many people would be pissed off if Marilyn Manson was cast as Willy Wonka?  I can’t say I know even ONE person who would be happy about it.  That just ruins the whole thing.  Anyway, as far as a “sequel” goes, there really isn’t one… there is no continuance of the story or anything.  If you want to see the closest thing to a sequel, check out Bit Parts at IFilm (http://www.ifilm.com).  It is… interesting.  IT’s about 2 actors cast as oompa loompas… and their experience.  Not the most entertaining thing ever, but it is slightly funny.  Then, I watched it over dialup… so it might be better if you’re on a better connection.  Anyway, as far as a remake goes, the new Wonka movie will NOT be a remake of the film.  If it were a remake of the film, it would be based on the film, but it will not be… it will be based on the book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  It will stick more closely to the book then the old film apparently.  My thoughts on this?  Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a classic movie.  It is GREAT just as it is.  I can not see any other actors in the parts of these characters.  Regardless of how well made or whatever this new movie is, it will not live up to it’s predecessor, as far as I am concerned… and probably as far as most are concerned.  It is one of the best movies of all time, without doubt.

Anyway, just wanted to get my thoughts on that out….  😉

All right.  Time for another entry.

Well, today has turned out to be somewhat lame.  Not a bad day, just… nothing too terribly exciting has happened.  Went to eat lunch with some people.  Right now I’m kind of annoyed because no one is hanging out or anything tonight.  So I am stuck at home bored.  The reason no one is doing anything?  No one knows of anywhere to hang out.  Why someone else can’t have people over I don’t know.  I can’t possibly have people over here every night.   So yeah, it kind of stinks when you have a very limited amount of time on break and a lot of it is wasted because there is nowhere to go.  Personally, I would be willing to like go somewhere with a couple ppl and hang out.  But I don’t know how to go about that….  would have to leave people out for any of my ideas, and then… yeah.  It usually doesn’t have good results.

At any rate, if I were to call anyone now I’m fairly certain they would feel that it is “too late” to do something.  Ha.  Too late.  What is that? 😛  It’s never too late.  Especially when you’re on break and there is absolutely nothing you have to do tomorrow.

So what have I resorted to?  Well, I went and ate dinner at my uncle’s house, which wasn’t bad.  The food was good… and I watched Fear Factor.  It was cool.  Anyway, after that I came back here.  I am now listening to an old mix cd that I made.  It is cool 😉  Mix cds rock.  Nothing but awesome songs, back to back…..  ahhh.   And I’m writing this as I listen to it…..  ooooh… crazy excitement.  I’m a wild man.

I found Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey on DVD today!  That means I am buying it tomorrow.  Muahahhaa….  Bill and Ted…. what a classic.  It is very rare that such a movie is made nowadays… but it seems as though the 80’s was filled with such things.  I’m not sure why.  Like, the only real classic movies I can think of that have been made recently (unless something unexpectedly becomes a classic) are The Lord of the Rings and the new Star Wars movies….  and the Star Wars movies (at least Episode 1) are like… horribly tainted.  They are never going to be near as classic as the original trilogy.  I mean really, the original trilogy didn’t really cater to any audience….  and that is why it was so good…  it wasn’t trying to please anyone, it was just trying to tell a story.  Not the case with episode 1, obviously 😉  Musically, I hope to God no popular music of the present time ever achieves the status of classic.  Popular music sucks so terribly badly.  I don’t know when people decided it would be a good idea to throw actualy musical talent out the window and listen to fake looking alledgedly “hot” (some of them are, but some really aren’t ;)) people who have absolutely no talent…. and well… can’t even sing….  moderately well even….  but…. geez.  That is why I am bitter towards the human race.  Not really.  That is to say, I’m not really bitter towards the human race.  But if I *WAS* bitter towards the human race, that would be the reason.  Stupid human race.

I also decided today,…  that I want to start playing my guitar again.  And like.. get good.  I always get discouraged tho, cuz I suck.  But hopefully this time I will carry through… haha.

*listens to the electrics*…  I forgot about them 🙂  haha….  I was just thinking Aubrey would probably think this is the “campiest” band ever ;).  I think it’s great tho.  Celtic Rock 😉  Good stuff.  They really did put on an incredible concert the one time I saw them.  Too bad they are extremely inactive these days.  I wish they’d come back to the U.S. for another tour.

Anyway, I have written a good bit, so I think I’m done.  Go ummm… do something fun.  Or something.  Then you can say you’re doing something more fun then me.  I think.

Ok, so I am writing something here even though I don’t really feel like it in order to make someone happy….. so… yeah 😉
Last night was kind of interesting. Some people came over. We watched a Cornerstone DVD and reminisced about Cornerstone a little bit. Good times, good times. Actually it was weird because a couple people went upstairs and started talking. My friends are weird sometimes. I don’t see the point of everybody getting together if they are just going to go seclude themselves with a few people anyway.
Tonight maybe we might actually really hang out.
Being home is always kind of stressing on what i want to do. I am torn between whether I want to go hang out with my friends, or spend time here with family and stuff, or like…. sleep. This morning was one of those mornings where everyone just saw you last night, and other people are just being seen since getting home, so you get ignored 😉 oh well. It happens.
*listens to Ghoti Hook*…. too bad they’re breaking up…. they were really starting to get some good stuff going.
I want to go to the inner harbor in baltimore. I hope I get a chance to do that before I have to go back down to Lakeland….. that’d be good. It’s a lot of fun.
One thing that seems to be coming up with a lot of people lately…. people are talking to me about problems and stuff they’re going through and all. I never know what to say… . I try to give advice, but usually I feel pretty worthless. Hopefully I help them to some extent.
Tomorrow is Monday. I don’t know what that means. I guess that…. it is monday. Yeah.

Well, I never got around to making another update last night.  Other stuff came up which was more important. 😉

As far as yesterday goes…. it was an all right day.  I got to the airport, and realized just how tired I was.  Like I bought this magazine to read on the plane.  and I paid the guy and he just let the magazine lay there…..  and i didn’t understand why he wasn’t putting it in a bag… and he gave me a weird look…. and then i remembered that they usually don’t give you bags for such things at the airport….  so… yeah. 😉

Then the plane was crowded and I was in the middle.  blah.

Well, I was supposed to be at Fine Arts now.  However, I am kind of glad I am not.  I actually got to sleep until I woke up of my own desire today.  First time in over a week.  I am happy about that.

well, i will be flying back home to maryland in just a few hours.  that will be good.  definately in need of a break from school, i’m starting to burn out a bit.

yesterday was kind of a cruddy day.  not too much happened.  i was too tired to really do much of anything, but the opportuninty to sleep never really arose.  the only cool thing that was accomplished was that i managed to download a bunch of mp3s.  Downloaded The Juliana Theory “Emotion is Dead” (own the cd, but it’s presently lost), .Rod Laver “In a Perfect World”, Dogwood “Matt Aragon”, Rackets and Drapes “Trick or Treat”, Supertones “Loud and Clear”, and Travail.  I am pleased with them all.

sorry about no update yesterday, but there was nothing on my mind that i felt like writing about.
