i am going to go see the movie Hero tonight, which should be pretty awesome.

i am sorry if you don’t live near DC or Minneapolis and wanted to have a date for the Donnie Darko director’s cut. i got said dates from the news archives page on www.Richard-Kelly.net. it’s in a news article with a name that is really obviously it. i am too lazy to look it up right now, sorry.

they are shooting his new movie, Southland Tales, in September. i should hunt them down. even though i know almost none about the movie, because that is all the info that has been released, it seems like it will be pretty cool.

it seems i am extremely tired every time i write on here now… but, i guess that is because i always wait until the very end of a long day to write anything.

today was the first time i really just went out and hung out in LA, and I simply have to say that i love this city. it is quite simply incredible, and i will probably be depressed about going back to Lakeland for a year. it’s just an incredible town. it’s a big city, but it doesn’t feel like a big city. i don’t know… i just love it.

anyway, we went to priscilla’s coffee shop, which was quite cool and enjoyable, followed by going to the mall, which, it turns out, is right downtown. the downtown area is awesome, and the mall is pretty great as well. following this, we went to see the movie Garden State, which was amazing. I highly reccomend that you go and see it.

anyway, i have class at 9 again tomorrow, so i’m going to go ahead and get off of here.

hi, i’m real tired.

it still feels weird to get this tired before it’s even midnight… but… hey.

i saw the director’s cut of Donnie Darko tonight. it was good. a lot of good added footage, some of which were deleted scenes on the dvd, some of which were not. some lines were added and removed at various places… lots of special effects redone… some added… ummm.. yeah… they put several pages from the philosophy of time travel onscreen, so it spells out a lot more in the movie for people who can’t quite figure it out without it. i think at the moment i prefer the original, but it is definately good, and i will definately buy the dvd when it comes out…. and it was great to just see Donnie Darko on the big screen.

ok well, i think i am done now. i’m real tired.

i am in los angeles now.

it’s a happening place.

i am living in Oakwood Apartments, which apparently is a pretty upscale place… like i guess actors and such stay here when they are in town to shoot movies and so forth, so that might be interesting. anyway, Warner Brothers is like right down the street… so is like NBC, and Universal, and some other stuff that I am too tired to think of right this second. but yeah, the apartment is super nice. a decently big living room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms, both decent sizes (bigger then a dorm), mine is a little bigger then the other (benefit of being one of the first 2 to arrive).

anyway, not much has happened yet. orientation stuff is going on all this week, ummm… i don’t know what else to say. so far i like it out here a lot, and i’m definately psyched about this semester. i don’t think i will want to leave when the time comes.

oh yeah, my roommates are all pretty cool. the one guy is pretty quiet so i haven’t talked to him much yet, but, yeah…. the guy that i share my bedroom with is a cool guy, and not annoying, which is good, since last semester i had the most annoying roommate of all time.

ok well i am going to stop writing now. later.

hey everybody

i just wanted to make one final update to this before i head out to Los Angeles, CA. I leave tomorrow morning but I don’t know if I’ll have time to post this tomorrow or not, so I’m doing it now.

anyway, tomorrow when i get out there i don’t think that there is anything i have to do really, except move in, which will be really easy compared to when I move into Southeastern, because I have a whole bunch of crap to bring in down there… since I am flying out to LA, I am kind of limited on what I have (basically just 2 suitcases full of clothes, toiletry items, some cds and dvds, a couple books, and this computer… oh yeah, and my xbox of course… I will need it when Halo 2 comes out).

i am extremely excited about this semester, and it will go by all too fast, but you can rest assured I will miss those of you back home (and those of you not at home but at other schools and/or locations then where i am at).

finally, i guess i will say goodbye to those of you i may have missed saying goodbye to in person. i am sure someone will be mad at me for not saying bye to them, and to them i have this to say: I have hung out with people almost every day this week… so had you made any effort at all to see me to say bye.. then.. you would have done so 😉 so there you go… it’s your fault. i should be mad at YOU. but i’m not. i love you anyway. because i’m nice like that.

So I had been seriously looking into getting a digital camera for about a month now…. and today, i got one. The Canon Powershot A75. I haven’t used it to much yet, but it is definately a nice camera, I will surely like it a lot. I also got a 256 meg Compact Flash card, so I won’t be limited in how many pictures I can take too much either… so.. yeah. All right, I guess that’s it. Later.
